In 1981 and 1984 (possibly even more years), the Children in Need programme was about to finish for the night.
So what would they do? Well, instead of going to the clock, they opted in for a globe for an emergency closedown. They also played the Anthem of the UK (but it was different than the other, more iconic, 1972 anthem, this was the ATV/TVB version).
