Regional Adverts
#1
This thread is to remember and discuss adverts which were specific to a certain region of the UK.

To begin, when the original London ILR stations LBC and Capital Radio changed medium wave frequencies circa 1975, a hand drawn animated advert was shown on both Thames and LWT.  It featured two removal men holding signs with the station names on them and lines to represent radio waves, and the action/dialogue between the two men went something like this...

1st Man : I've never moved radio stations before.
2nd Man : That's alright, neither have LBC or Capital.
(BOTH START WALKING AS THE SECOND MAN SAYS 'NEITHER', AND THEY COME TO A HALT A FEW MOMENTS LATER)
1st Man (noticing two other signs further up on the radio waves) : Here, what about those up there?
2nd Man : No, they're on VHF, they're staying put.
1st Man : Okay.
(BOTH OF THEM WALK A BIT FURTHER ON BEFORE STOPPING AGAIN)
2nd Man : Here we are.  You put LBC on 261...
1st Man (doing as suggested) : Right.
2nd Man (doing so as he speaks) : ...and I'll put Capital on 194.
1st Man : Hey, that was easy!
(CROSSFADE INTO SLIDE SHOWING UPDATED STATION LOGOS)
Male voiceover : Remember your new medium wave frequencies - LBC on 261, Capital on 194.

So, which local adverts can you recall from your region?
