Strangely enough, despite this classic PIF being filmed in Scotland, and featuring the likes of Bill Paterson and fiddle player Aly Bain, it was shown in some ITV regions south of the border. Two companies that I know of which showed it were Tyne Tees and Thames, the latter being where I first saw it in the 1970's.
