Historical overview of the British anthem at closedown
#10
I found this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZeiKMlUiVY
An announcerless closedown with an abbreviated version of the Central theme.

One sketchy YouTube comment from another video states that there was also another Central closedown without the announcer but the closing theme was fully played instead of being abbreviated.

(you need to copy and paste the link to watch it)

@RandomMe

Can you please edit the first post?

Add these information:
1. Meridian completely refused to play the Anthem. At some point they closed with a clock and then they would fade to a still of the Meridian ident with the channel's theme. Then they turned 24/7.
2. BBC North closed in the 80s without the clock and the announcer. They only showed a completely different anthem.
3. BBC Midlands showed a still of the BBC Midlands HQ for 8 seconds with the anthem before fading to the BBC globe ident.
4. And lastly, these occassions: BBC North West played the old anthem at closedown during the final days at their old broadcasting house. BBC Northern Ireland played the 1972 (sped up) anthem at the station's logo because the clock was missing.
5. BBC Wales refused to show the Picture of the Queen in Christmas 1992. Instead, they showed the Christmas ident with WALES added into the logo and played some Christmas carol, IIRC.
